Elizabeth Taber Library 124 viewsKids and their grown-up minders were scattered across the lawn in front of the Elizabeth Taber Library on July 11 when Pine Meadows Farms arrived with a variety of small animals delighting all. From pygmy goats to recently shorn alpacas and more, children learned some basic facts about the animals, but better yet for the toddler brigade, was getting up close to the animals. Marion Natural History Museum124 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum wishes to thank Justin Barrett for his excellent program on learning how to bird watch. The kids had a lesson on using binoculars and had a chance to practice outside. Although it was getting dark, we saw a Junco, several sparrows, and took a close up look at squirrel nest. Thank you, Justin. Photo courtesy Elizabeth Leidhold.
