Marion Fire27 viewsAn attic at 295 Delano Road caught fire on Monday, prompting response from Marion Fire/EMS and mutual aid from Wareham, Mattapoisett and Rochester fire departments. Firefighters cut a hole in the roof and quickly extinguished the fire, preventing further damage. Marion Holiday House27 viewsThe 33rd annual Marion Holiday House Tour was enjoyed by many on December 9. The annual fundraiser began at the Handy Tavern, the headquarters of the Sippican Woman's Club, which hosted the event. The tavern was built in 1812 and has been owned by the club for many decades. Club historian Jeanine Bruen shared that the club is celebrating its 100th year and for nearly that long has been taking care of this structure in the heart of Marion village.
