Summer Reading Program128 viewsAs a kickoff to the summer reading program at the Elizabeth Taber Library and summer Natural History Museum programming, the Town of Marion was treated to a visit from a full-size whale, two very large dinosaurs and one baby dino named Spike. Blessing of the Fleet128 viewsThe Reverend Eric Fialho, rector at Saint Gabriel’s Parish, presided as the Town of Marion held its first-ever Blessing of the Fleet on January 1 in Sippican Harbor. One tradition well established the past half-dozen years was the sunflower in the outer harbor, where several vessels tied up to one another at the stern and aimed their bows outward toward the sea in 360-degree formation.
