Marion Natural History Museum42 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum wishes to thank Justin Barrett for the fun time we had last week learning about the importance of the Great Backyard Bird Count. The students were able to identify the many species including Starling (small flock), Mourning Dove, Juncos (good views), Cardinal, House Finch, House Sparrow, and American Crow. And they also found an old nest in a tree. After-school programs included "Monarchs" on March 2, and upcoming is "Fossil Hunting" on March 16. Check out our full list of

Volunteers at Sippican Elementary42 viewsVolunteers at Sippican Elementary (VASE) hosted their fourth Boosterthon Fun Run fundraiser last week. VASE works with Booster, a company that helps raise funds for enrichment activities such as in-school performances, field trips and afterschool programs. Students reached out to friends, family and businesses across 30 states and 7 countries; 87 percent of the student body registered with 79 percent earning donations for Sippican.
