Nolanfest146 viewsNearing the fifth anniversary of the passing of Nolan Gibbons, Nolanfest 2025 was held at Silvershell Beach this past Saturday evening. Hundreds were in attendance to pay tribute, remember, and support local singers and musical artists. Over 20 different performances occurred at the stage, including The Showstoppers, of which Nolan was a member beginning in 2014 at the age of nine. The event was free but saw numerous donations to the Nolan Gibbons Memorial Fund which goes towards supporting artists through

Marion 4th of July Parade145 viewsMarion Town Administrator Jay McGrail and Select Board members Norm Hills, John Waterman, and Randy Parker walked the Independence Day parade route on Monday morning along with veterans, marching bands, Boy and Girl Scout troops, youth baseball teams, decorated floats, fire engines, and a convoy of antique cars. Nolan Fest145 viewsThe first-ever Nolan Fest was held on July 11 at Silvershell Beach in Marion to honor the late Nolan Gibbons, who tragically passed away on August 18, 2020. The festival featured live music and words presented by area and national contributors, along with video tributes and a fire show.
