Tracking On500 viewsThe Mattapoisett Track Club runs has resumed its nine-week summer session, with meets taking place on every Monday and Wednesday through August 13. They take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and is open to everyone, ages 3 and up. The club is funded by the summer Mattapoisett Wharf Dances, which take place every Thursday night at 7:00 pm. This year 173 participants attempted the triple event which began with a swim in Mattapoisett Harbor, a bike ride into the town village, and a marathon back to the Town Beach. Do-Si-Do in Marion500 viewsOn Sunday, September 14, the first of what is hoped to be an annual series of Marion Square Dances was held inside the Marion Community Center. Although initially slated to take place in the parking lot adjacent to the Marion General Store, the weekend’s rainy weather forced the event indoors.
