Festival of Trees 67 viewsThe Festival of Trees opened on November 27 with a reception at the Cushing Community Center on Route 6 in Marion. Sponsored by the Friends of Marion Council on Aging, the event showcased 14 decorated Christmas trees, along with an artisan sale, music, refreshments and a raffle for over 10 gift baskets. Loft School67 viewsThe Loft School of Marion held its Preschool Art Show and Pre-K Celebrates the World Tour on April 6. The boys and girls invited their families to view all the amazing artwork they have created this year. The Pre-K class has spent the year traveling around the world, learning about different countries such as Italy, Portugal, Germany and Costa Rica. Outside the Grange Hall, attendees enjoyed animals large and small with the Plymouth County 4-H Club, while inside blue, red, green and yellow ribbons adorned winning entries from farmers, gardeners and craftsmen of all ages.
