Almanac.com says that these fall perennials should be planted before the first freeze and that while they prosper in direct sunlight, they will grow in some measure of shade provided the ground is not too wet. ORR seniors Traeh Carrington, John Butler and Jake Newton were recognized. Police chiefs Jason King (Mattapoisett), Robert Small (Rochester) and Richard Nighelli (Marion) presented $200 each from their respective departments to ORR’s Unified sports program, and nearly $2,700 was raised in ticket, T-shirt and concession sales. Buffet-style food tables featured delicious items from local restaurants and shops, from donuts to pizza to Chinese offerings and more.
