Sponsored by the Friends of Marion Council on Aging, the event showcased 14 decorated Christmas trees, along with an artisan sale, music, refreshments and a raffle for over 10 gift baskets. Together with Narragansett tribal member Max Brown-Garcia, who has supplied Native American regalia pieces, and Vincent Mancini's creations from cut feathers, these sacred works are part of the Marion Art Center’s indigenous art exhibit, “Exploring Native American Culture: Art, Craft and Inspiration,” through March 25. The boys and girls invited their families to view all the amazing artwork they have created this year. The Pre-K class has spent the year traveling around the world, learning about different countries such as Italy, Portugal, Germany and Costa Rica. The children shared unique projects and interesting facts about each country with their families. It was nice to be able to invite families into school again. A
