Paca Run67 viewsSeptember 25 found animal lovers of all ages visiting alpaca farms throughout the region in a game called “Paca Run.” Mattapoisett’s Pine Meadows Farm participated in the event, which included five farms where folks could pick up playing cards. At the end of the two-day event coinciding with National Alpaca Farm Days, the best “Hand” won prizes. Soapbox Derby67 viewsMarion and Rochester Cub Scouts came together on November 6 for a soapbox derby on Holmes Street in Marion. The longtime fundraising event was not held in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic but made a roaring return on Saturday, as children raced their homemade go-carts and collected donations for the Murphy and Others, Living Interdependently for Future Endeavors, Inc.
