Rochester Grange Agricultural Fair65 viewsUnlike recent years when greeted by stifling heat or torrential rain, the 2023 Rochester Grange Agricultural Fair was held in gorgeous weather on August 19. Outside the Grange Hall, attendees enjoyed animals large and small with the Plymouth County 4-H Club, while inside blue, red, green and yellow ribbons adorned winning entries from farmers, gardeners and craftsmen of all ages. Marion Holiday House65 viewsThe 33rd annual Marion Holiday House Tour was enjoyed by many on December 9. The annual fundraiser began at the Handy Tavern, the headquarters of the Sippican Woman's Club, which hosted the event. The tavern was built in 1812 and has been owned by the club for many decades. Club historian Jeanine Bruen shared that the club is celebrating its 100th year and for nearly that long has been taking care of this structure in the heart of Marion village.
