Empty Bowls73 viewsOn Thursday November 18, 2021, the Tri-Town community came together to support student artists and their activism to help neighbors in need. The Old Rochester Regional High School Art department hosted its second "Empty Bowls" event. This Fall, students in both Ms. Butler’s and Ms. Mogilnicki’s art classes designed and created ceramic bowls. On the night of the event, patrons made a donation and chose a one-of-a-kind, work of art for their soup.

Festival of Trees 73 viewsThe Festival of Trees opened on November 27 with a reception at the Cushing Community Center on Route 6 in Marion. Sponsored by the Friends of Marion Council on Aging, the event showcased 14 decorated Christmas trees, along with an artisan sale, music, refreshments and a raffle for over 10 gift baskets. Gail Roberts led distributed sheet music and led in song with musicians Louise Anthony playing the fiddle and Jack Dean the ukulele. Mattapoisett Woman's Club73 viewsInclement weather forced the Mattapoisett Woman's Club to move its Holidays Wreath and Greens Sale indoors, and the club was thrilled that the December 3 event, with the assistance of MWC members Cindy Turse and Sandy Hering, Fire Chief Andy Murray and Town Administrator Mike Lorenco, was able to go on as scheduled in the Old Firehouse on Route 6. Wreaths sold out within the first hour of the sale, with swags, table pieces, box designs and special ornaments, all exquisitely hand-decorated
