Fall Free Family Fun Festival86 viewsThe sixth annual Lions Club Fall Free Family Fun Festival was held on October 22 in Shipyard Park. Hundreds of children enjoyed face painting, fortune tellers, hayrides and games with a Halloween theme. King Lion Kimberly Ray said the event is an opportunity for people of all economic backgrounds to enjoy a family day together for free. Both Marion (Saturday morning) and Rochester fire departments hosted Nero’s Law training for multiple municipalities over the weekend. Nero was the K-9 dog for the Yarmouth Police Department, and his handler was Sergeant Sean Gannon, the son of Denise and Pat Gannon.

Whale Bark Wanderer86 viewsMattapoisett Museum Curator Connor Gaudet and volunteer Bob Clifford unpack the custom model of the Whale Bark Wanderer 1878 recreated by artist George Lowery from scratch and donated to the museum. The model arrived on Tuesday afternoon from Arizona in a crate weighing a total of 181 pounds.
