Despite the blistering hot weather, the rockets were all successfully launched, and the parachutes deployed (most of the time). The students had built their rockets at home before the program with a YouTube video created by the program's presenter, Mike Cronin.

Six years ago, Bauer was an eagle scout who donated his first dog-walking fundraising collection to an animal shelter in Fairhaven.
