Salty 100 Regatta141 viewsRed Shift reaches the finish line of the inaugural Salty 100 regatta, raced August 27-28 from Marion harbor beyond Point Judith, Rhode Island, and back. Red Shift, skippered by Jo Riley of Massachusetts Maritime Academy, finished the race in 21 hours, 14 minutes and 15 seconds and was runner-up among the 11 boats in the PHRF 145 class. Oyster Festival141 viewsWhat do you get when you mix good music with good foods like pizza and oysters washed down with beer? Well, the 3rd Annual Beer and Oyster Festival hosted by the Sippican Lands Trust, of course. This year’s event was held on September 18 on the grounds of the Cushing Community Center in Marion.
