Marion Natural History Museum100 viewsOn June 8, the Marion Natural History Museum’s afterschool group enjoyed a wonderful trip to Ram Island in Marion. The students watched various crabs in the salt marsh, visited several of the occupied Osprey nests and walked the shoreline looking for shells. We also had the opportunity to visit Clara and Darcy, the Moore’s pet donkeys. Volunteers100 viewsPenny Pinchers Exchange, located in the Elizabeth Taber Chapel on Main Street in Marion, spent a very busy April 24 morning working with six, amazingly capable students as they sorted, rearranged, organized, tagged and cleared out all the winter stock and readied the incoming summer inventory. PPX, an all-volunteer group of women, is so very grateful for their help. What these young people did in two hours would have taken two weeks of Wednesdays and Saturdays.
