Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run 161 views Sunday, May 4 was a perfect day for a fun run through Marion, and about 200 people turned out to participate in VASE’s second annual Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run to raise money for educational programs at Sippican Elementary School. Holding hands and cheering each other on, the kids twisted and turned themselves through the hoops and the first team to get their hoop to travel down and up the line again won the relay. Sunday, May 29, was a picture perfect day for a parade. Presenting the checks were Plymouth County commissioners Sandra Wright and Gregory Hanley, along with Thomas O’Brien, the county treasurer, and Jim Cantwell, the state director.
