Happy Days at Harbor Days 172 viewsIt all seems to come and go so quickly year after year, but while the Harbors Days are here the people of Mattapoisett and surrounding towns make time to enjoy the annual seaside event – the fish fry, lobster feast, pancake breakfast, and arts and crafts – that the Mattapoisett Lions Club works so hard all year round to keep going. Marion Halloween Parade 2017172 viewsHalloween in the Marion village is one event that shouldn’t be missed! Hundreds upon hundreds of little ghosts, ghouls, and goblins took to the streets to show off their costumes and follow it up with some treats (no tricks) and refreshments at the Marion Music Hall, sponsored by those very kind witches at the Marion Art Center. The Sippican School students led the parade under the direction of Hannah Moore. Photo by Paul Lopes

Osprey Marsh Accessible Boardwalk172 viewsDespite a downpour perfectly timed for its planned gathering on Friday off Point Road in Marion, the Sippican Lands Trust celebrated the completion of the new Osprey Marsh Accessible Boardwalk. Executive Director Jim Bride and president Alan Harris held a live Zoom meeting for those who could not attend, and some of the donors for the project assisted in the ribbon-cutting. The boardwalk is open by appointment. See story by Marilou Newell. Photo by Mick Colageo
