Lost Ladybug Project220 viewsGuided by Loree Griffin Burns, children headed out on May 30 from Plumb Library to search for ladybugs to photograph and document for the Lost Ladybug Project. In all, the kids found five ladybugs. The event was funded by a MOBY grant and organized by the RMS PTOs, the RLT, Kathy Gauvin at ORR, and the three town Cultural Councils. Mr. T!220 viewsStudents chanted “Mr. T!” to Mr. Tavares on the roof as they left school June 18. Kevin Tavares, associate principal, challenged the kids to raise 481 canned goods to top Mr. T’s 480 – they collected over 800 instead! Mr. T had to spend the night on the roof of Center School, calling the community out to visit him and bring canned goods so he could match the students’ grand total. Photos by Jean Perry

Marion Village 5K220 viewsThe Marion Village 5K is in its 19th year, and over 250 participants turned out to run the 3.1-mile course along the waterfront and through the quaint Marion village.
