Marion Christmas Stroll 170 viewsThe Marion Christmas Stroll is one of the quintessential holiday events in Tri-Town, with Santa making his grand entrance via boat and hopping aboard a horse-drawn carriage to ride through Marion village with some lucky kids who hop aboard with him. Special Olympics Young Athletes170 viewsRoughly 120 Tabor Academy students volunteered on January 10 to assist with the school’s first session of the Special Olympics Young Athletes™ program held at Tabor. The program offers children ages 3-7 with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to engage in physical activities vital to mental and physical growth. Spearheaded by Math teacher Tim Cleary and Tabor senior Molly Bent, sessions continue January 17 to March 6 (no session February 7) at 2:00 pm at the Fish Center for Athletics

Mattapoisett Harbormaster170 viewsMattapoisett Harbormaster Jill Simmons has become a de facto art museum curator since the town acquired prints and photographs that now grace the walls of the tiny harbormaster’s office at Shipyard Park. Local photographer Misty King has several of her pieces on display, along with two pieces by USCG’s artist Michael Mazur.
