We witnessed 50’ waves on Kauai’s north shore where “The Eddy” Competition is held and at Hanalei Bay.

Essay Contest Winner519 viewsHeidi Schneider, an eighth grade student at Friends Academy in North Dartmouth, won first prize in the Dartmouth, Massachusetts VFW Patriots Pen Essay Contest. The Patriots Pen essay contest gives sixth, seventh and eighth grade students the opportunity to express their opinion on a patriotic theme and improve their writing skills, while they compete for worthwhile awards and prizes. Friends Academys seventh and eighth grade English teacher Lauren Corliss encouraged all of her students to participate in the essay writing contest.
