Library Henna194 viewsThe Elizabeth Taber Library hosted a henna tattoo program for teens, with each guest receiving their own henna creation by professional henna artist Heather Cault-Nulton. The art of henna dates back thousands of years and has recently grown in popularity. The Princess and the Pea194 viewsOpening tonight, Thursday, March 17, the ORR Junior High School Drama Club presents “The Princess and the Pea,” starting at 7:00 pm in the ORRJHS auditorium. This is the second year the recently reconstituted drama club has presented a fairy tale-themed performance at the junior high, and the show features a cast of 33 with singing and dancing coordinated by a group of volunteer parents. The fundraiser brought groups on three different courses – 13-, 25-, and 48-miles long – winding their way through area towns and making stops at various local ice cream parlors. SouthCoast Working Dog Club194 viewsThe SouthCoast Working Dog Club held a three-day Schutzhund trial at the Rochester Country Fairgrounds on May 27-29. The event is a competition in training, tracking, obedience, and protection for working breeds of dogs. Marion Memorial Day194 viewsRochester fared far better with its Memorial Day celebration than Marion and Mattapoisett did with theirs on rainy Monday. Sunday, May 29, was a picture perfect day for a parade.
