Library Henna203 viewsThe Elizabeth Taber Library hosted a henna tattoo program for teens, with each guest receiving their own henna creation by professional henna artist Heather Cault-Nulton. The art of henna dates back thousands of years and has recently grown in popularity. The Princess and the Pea203 viewsOpening tonight, Thursday, March 17, the ORR Junior High School Drama Club presents “The Princess and the Pea,” starting at 7:00 pm in the ORRJHS auditorium. This is the second year the recently reconstituted drama club has presented a fairy tale-themed performance at the junior high, and the show features a cast of 33 with singing and dancing coordinated by a group of volunteer parents. Marion Natural History Museum203 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum welcomed a visit from Mark Whelan, engineer with Sippican/Lockheed Martin Corp. Mark allowed us to experiment with compression, stability and buoyancy. We built our own submarines and figured out how to make it sink, but not too fast. Then we held a race to see whose submarine sank the slowest. The group had a great time working with all the materials and we’d like to thank Mark and Sippican/Lockheed Martin for the wonderful program.
