Presto Press250 viewsA partnership between the Mattapoisett Historical Society and the public library allowed the sale of duplicate issues of the Presto Press, which was printed from the 1950s until the early 1990s. People poured over the stacks seeking a specific issue or year to take home for their personal archives. The monies raised will be used to defray the cost of storing the publications in a climate-controlled space. Photos by Marilou Newell

MNHM Bird Island Trip250 viewsMany thanks to Mike, Isaac and Adam of the Marion Harbormaster’s office for the wonderful trip to Bird Island last week. Warm weather and very little wind added up to a perfect opportunity to explore the island during it’s shore bird “off season”. We looked for left over eggs, bones and nesting material. We also had an opportunity to visit the light house and take in views from the top, which included Cape Cod and the canal railroad bridge. Thank you for the great trip!
