Alpacapalooza! 251 viewsPine Meadows Farm in Mattapoisett is home to some 17 alpacas. Owners Heidi and Jeff Paine opened up the farm to the public over the weekend once the weather cleared. Mattapoisett Woman's Club 251 viewsOn September 28, the garden group of the Mattapoisett Woman's Club brought shovels, clippers, trowels, and rakes to the badly overgrown butterfly garden at Center School and cleared out the overgrowth and weeds. The garden will be dedicated to Suzanne Sylvester who along with two other teachers designed, planted, and used this garden to teach students about butterflies. Tricia showed us some of her commissioned art pieces, as well as examples of nature journaling from various artists. The Rochester Memorial School band and chorus treated revelers to a festive performance, while Christmas poster winner Tessa Winslow had the honor of flipping the switch to light the holiday tree.
