World Tai Chi and Qigong Day298 viewsA group in Mattapoisett joined others across the globe in celebrating World Tai Chi and Qigong Day on April 26 at 10:00 am, just as other groups did at 10:00 am in their local time zones. Led by Tai Chi Practitioner Colman Fink, 15 locals moved gracefully together with conscious breath in the downstairs of the Mattapoisett Free Library – thanks to the rain that dampened the plan to meet at Ned’s Point for a second year in a row. Second Annual Kid’s Equipment Day298 viewsLittle kids and big, big machines on a warm spring Marion morning made for tons of fun at the Marion Recreation’s Second Annual Kid’s Equipment Day on May 10. A row of different Town-owned vehicles including a police cruiser, ambulance, earth diggers, a fire engine, and fire trucks lined the Town House field. Sippican School Goes Wild298 viewsThe fourth-grade students at the Sippican School treated classmates and family members to a virtual zoo on the morning of June 5.
