Holding hands and cheering each other on, the kids twisted and turned themselves through the hoops and the first team to get their hoop to travel down and up the line again won the relay. Relay for Life301 viewsIt rained down hard the night of the 9th annual Relay for Life at Old Rochester Regional, soaking the ground, the tents, and the participants – but it didn’t stop anyone from coming out anyway to walk for a cure and honor those who have battled cancer. 4th Annual Resident Summer Luau301 viewsOver 30 residents of Little Neck Village in Marion recently attended the Village’s 4th Annual Resident Summer Luau. Engaging in the Hawaiian-themed festivities, the senior residents wore traditional island leis, listened to live music by band, Big Kahuna, and enjoyed a pot luck dinner. On September 23 it took ten enthusiastic little gardeners to pull up a ten-foot tall sunflower and carry it to “Weed Mountain.” After, the kids collected greens, grasses, and flowers to make an arrangement for the main office. Hot-To-Trot Dog Walk301 viewsOn November 30, a spring-like winter’s day, the Sippican Lands Trust held its 2nd annual Hot-To-Trot Post-Thanksgiving Day dog walk. About 12 dogs of all shapes and sizes brought their humans out for a guided tour of the White Eagle property located off Route 6 in Marion. Dogs received stylish orange neckerchiefs and dog treats.
