Mother’s Day Tiara 5k303 viewsSunday’s wind and rain wasn’t stopping the hundreds who participated in the annual Mother’s Day Tiara 5k in Mattapoisett on May 10. The storm brought strong wind and cold rain to the area, especially at the turn around Ned’s Point Lighthouse, dampening the day but not the sentiment behind the Women’s Fund of Southeastern Massachusetts’ largest annual fundraising event. Barbies303 viewsMany neighbors and friends have been asking about the Barbies. Due to virus concerns, we made a conscious decision not to create the display this year since it draws so many visitors of all ages to congregate near our gate. Instead, the Barbies are observing social-distancing guidelines with masks on, as this photo taken on July 4 illustrates. We hope that the full crew will be out next year.
