Judo Champ556 viewsAlyssa Quaintance of Rochester recently took first place in the 5- to 6-year-old division at the Mass State Championships held on January 27 in Wakefield, MA. None of her three matches lasted more than 30 seconds as she ran through the competition. Alyssa won all her matches by Ippon, which is similar to a knockout in boxing. Stone recently signed copies of his book, The Untouchable Tree, as a benefit for the SLT at their offices in the Pilgrim Bank Plaza at 354 Front Street in Marion. The book, which is about our connection to the magnificence and essential nature of trees, is 192 pages and is illustrated with 30 color paintings.
