The performers sang song style selections from spiritual to jazz and the crowd pleaser “Don’t Worry Be Happy” by Rochester Memorial School. Combining the voices of nearly 300 students the finale was a soulful treatment of “Wade In The Water”. Funds raised through FORM concerts support scholarships awarded each year to graduating seniors who have completed at least two full years in a school music program.

Library Treasures266 viewsWord spread of the Antiques Roadshow-style fundraiser at the Mattapoisett Library on March 29, attracting scores of South Coasters clutching their treasures, antiques, and heirlooms for appraisal and admiration, hoping Francis McNamee of the Marion Antique Shop might discover worth in their belongings beyond their sentimental value. Family Campout at Camp Hadley266 viewsOn the weekend of June 7 the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts met for their annual Family Campout at Camp Hadley in Marion. The Scouts started off with a firewood moving exercise that got all involved and started the day off right. The Boy Scouts did a great job introducing the Cub Scouts to ‘Line Rescue’ in the water, Knife, Saw and Axe Safety, Fire Safety, Dutch Oven Cooking (with a pineapple upside down cake) and a Flag Raising and Lowering Ceremony.
