Mass Mini Tractor Pullers 218 viewsThe Rochester Country Fairgrounds hosted a tractor pull of the Mass Mini Tractor Pullers Association on October 10. The tractors are hand-built by their owners, using naturally-aspirated auto engines that are 500-1,000 horsepower. Sunday, May 29, was a picture perfect day for a parade. Flag Day218 viewsCenter School students gathered together with Old Hammondtown students by the Center School flagpole on the morning of Tuesday, June 14, to celebrate Flag Day. The OHS band played a number of tunes, while the Center School students sang patriotic songs and listened to Principal Rose Bowman read a series of poems and writings to remind the children of what the American flag stands for. Mattapoisett Library Volunteer Recognition Reception218 viewsThe Mattapoisett Library held its annual Volunteer Recognition Reception on July 13. Library Director Susan Pizzolato and staff recognized the importance of the 125 volunteer corps that aids in everything from putting books back on shelves to helping high school students write letters to caring for the library’s live animals to aiding in preparing resumes for college applications.
