“Q” and “U” 312 viewsDeborah Bacciocchi’s kindergarten class at RMS celebrated a wedding of “Q” and “U” on May 16. The bride (a wooden letter "Q") wore a gown sewn with pieces from Bacchiocchi’s wedding gown and the groom wore mixed media/Sharpie formalwear. Flag Day312 viewsCenter School students gathered together with Old Hammondtown students by the Center School flagpole on the morning of Tuesday, June 14, to celebrate Flag Day. The OHS band played a number of tunes, while the Center School students sang patriotic songs and listened to Principal Rose Bowman read a series of poems and writings to remind the children of what the American flag stands for. Two categories – professional establishment and public safety – competed for best judged chowder and people’s choice. The officers raised over $1,500 letting their facial hair grow out, a no-no for the rest of the year for the officers.
