Bench Mark626 viewsEight students from Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School in Rochester recently constructed and installed three new benches on the Village Court property in Mattapoisett. Working diligently under the direction of OCR instructors, the students dug holes and firmly anchored the benches on the premises in 90-degree heat. Stone recently signed copies of his book, The Untouchable Tree, as a benefit for the SLT at their offices in the Pilgrim Bank Plaza at 354 Front Street in Marion. The book, which is about our connection to the magnificence and essential nature of trees, is 192 pages and is illustrated with 30 color paintings. Thousands of visitors flocked to the Mattapoisett waterfront for this annual event now in its twenty sixth year.
