Marion Halloween Parade 2017276 viewsHalloween in the Marion village is one event that shouldn’t be missed! Hundreds upon hundreds of little ghosts, ghouls, and goblins took to the streets to show off their costumes and follow it up with some treats (no tricks) and refreshments at the Marion Music Hall, sponsored by those very kind witches at the Marion Art Center. Sunfish Racks276 viewsA huge thanks to Patrick Kiernan and Mattapoisett Boy Scout Troop 53 for their excellent construction of two Sunfish racks for the Angelica Yacht Club’s junior sailing program. Troop Leader Dennis McLaughlin and several other troop parents oversaw the installation, which was Patrick’s Eagle Scout project. The Sunfish racks will hold a total of four Sunfish and their gear. The pinewood derby is a tradition that was started back in 1963 in Manhattan Beach, California and persists to this day. The ride started at the Town Beach and wound its way through the Southcoast, making stops at the various creameries along the way.
