Tri-Town Relay for Life231 viewsHundreds of residents attended the Tri-Town Relay for Life last weekend, raising nearly $40,000 for the American Cancer Society. Coastal Explorations II 231 viewsMany thanks to Karen Moore Dourdeville for her excellent presentation to the Coastal Explorations II summer program regarding the sea turtles of Buzzards Bay. The students were able to piece together some of the skeleton of a Loggerhead that washed up in Mattapoisett two years ago. Stars & Stripes Forever Musical Revue231 viewsThe Marion Art Center staged the “Stars & Stripes Forever Musical Revue” last weekend to packed crowds. The rousing show mimicked a USO event, with the audience being entertained as the “troops.” The production featured the “Swanson Sisters from Sheboygan: Dixie, Trixie & Pixie,” (played by Caroline Blaise, Pam Breton, and Denise Bastos) and was hosted by the hilariously funny “Frankie B. Sharpe” (played by Eric Bosworth). The MAC theatre was set up cabaret style, and guests brought their own refreshments.

Rochester Country Fair 2013231 viewsThe Rochester Country Fair was a huge success from its start on Thursday evening to its finish on Sunday, as thousands of Tri-Town residents filled the grounds for food, fun, and games amid beautiful weather and a “Welcome to the Jungle” theme.
