Massachusetts State Geography Bee334 viewsOwen Modracek, a resident of Rochester and 7th-grader at ORRJHS, has qualified to represent the Tri-Town in the Massachusetts State Geography Bee, sponsored by the National Geographic Society. Only the top 100 students in the state are invited to compete in the State GeoBee on March 29 at Elms College in Chicopee, MA. Owen won the ORRJHS Geography Bee, and then qualified by taking a state-sponsored exam. State champions then go on to compete in the National Geographic GeoBee in Washington D.C.
