Noon Year’s Eve244 viewsThe year 2014 arrived a little early on Tuesday afternoon for the guests at the Senior Center’s Annual New Year’s Eve party. Manguito244 viewsCenter School students were introduced to Latin rhythms and percussion instruments by the Boston-based educational Latin American music group Manguito during an afternoon presentation on January 24. Manguito members really captured the attention of the kids, resulting in plenty of learning while the group’s sizzling salsa and merengue music resulted in an eruption of dancing and spontaneous conga lines. ORR Pep Rally244 viewsPrincipal Michael Devoll gave Old Rochester Regional High School students a “shot in the arm” of school spirit on Friday January 31 – rather overdue for a school with a varsity basketball team currently in first place, a number of losing streaks in sports that have finally come to an end, and an undefeated debate team, among other reasons for students to be proud.
