Nightmare at 13244 viewsThe Marion Recreation Committee hosted a Nightmare at 13 Atlantis Drive Haunted House Tour on Saturday October 27th. The fund raiser was originally scheduled to run for two nights and to include Sunday but was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. Sandy Relief244 viewsOn Friday, November 16, members of the Mattapoisett Lions Club packed a moving truck full of food and supplies and drove them down to Queens, NY to distribute them to victims of Hurricane Sandy. Nick's Pizza, Oxford Creamery, Mattapoisett Chowder House, On the Go and Panino's all donated soups and hot dogs to be served to those in need. The Rochester Lions Club also cooked chili to serve. New Year Plunge244 viewsOn January 1, 2013, Mattapoisett Town Beach played host to a New Year’s polar plunge fundraiser. The event, which attracted over 400 people, raised money to benefit BAM Foundation, Inc., a New Bedford non-profit which donates money to South Coast families dealing with members who have cancer.
