Car Show5 viewsThe September 5 car show and sock hop held at the Rochester Council on Aging found the grounds filled with more than 85 vintage cars and several hundred spectators. The fundraiser also featured raffles, along with hamburgers and hot dogs cooked up by the Rochester Fire Department. Handling the root beer float station were members of the Police Department. On hand were members of the Plymouth County TRIAD, a nationally recognized program linking seniors with local safety strategies and agencies.

Haunted House5 viewsRochester Boy Scout Troop 31 hosted a Haunted House at the Rochester Grange on Saturday, October 19. The troop came up with the idea of hosting a haunted house a short 2 1/2 weeks ago and designed and built all scenes in a three-day period during the week of October 14-18. Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race4 viewsCompetitors in the Rochester Memorial Day Boat Race were greeted by fog and a high tide, but the sun burned through the cloud cover, and the competitors emerged on the home stretch to the finish line where the Mattapoisett River reaches Route 6.
