Children learned how to load a musket, Boy Scouts Troop 31 demonstrated archery skills, visitors enjoyed live music and baked goods and those who ducked inside the 1857 East Rochester Church were treated to an amazing display of artifacts. Car Show43 viewsThe September 5 car show and sock hop held at the Rochester Council on Aging found the grounds filled with more than 85 vintage cars and several hundred spectators. The fundraiser also featured raffles, along with hamburgers and hot dogs cooked up by the Rochester Fire Department. Handling the root beer float station were members of the Police Department. On hand were members of the Plymouth County TRIAD, a nationally recognized program linking seniors with local safety strategies and agencies.

Rochester’s Memorial Day43 viewsStudent participation was at the forefront of Rochester’s Memorial Day weekend ceremonies held on Sunday at the Senior Center, Town Hall and Daggett Square. Community Block Party42 viewsIt was a party for all ages when the Rochester Council on Aging hosted a Community Block Party on June 22. Local 4-H clubs brought animals, while Rochester's Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops provided games that included a soft-ax throw and soft archery-challenge games.
