We tried out some of the equipment and discussed working conditions. We learned about the three different types of rocks – sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic, and how they form, and inspected various rocks and minerals and fossils presenter Jim Pierson has collected over the years.

FD Open House426 viewsThe Marion Fire Department held an Open House on October 10, 2009. The public was welcome to tour the facilities, and children enjoyed exploring all the engines available at the station.
