Marion Natural History Museum385 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's afterschool group would like to thank Dawn Gates-Allen of the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers Association for the enjoyable program involving one of Southeastern Massachusetts’ most important crops. We took a close look at the insides of cranberries to discover what makes them float, counted seeds - which tell us how many times a plant was fertilized by a bee – and had a chance to see how far we could "bounce" a berry. The event is the group’s main fundraiser each year, kicking off with a with a gala preview party on Friday, August 14.
