SLT Oyster Fest 401 viewsThe Sippican Lands Trust’s Beer and Oyster Fest fundraiser was a hit despite the threat of approaching Hurricane Dorian, which was replaced with blue skies just in time, and holding the event earlier in the day mitigated the guests’ exposure to EEE-carrying mosquitos. 4th of July Parade400 viewsThe Sun finally broke through the clouds to help make for a glorious Tri-Town Fourth of July weekend highlighted by Marion's annual Independence Day Parade, hosted by the Benjamin D. Cushing Post 2425 Veterans of Foreign Wars. After-school program participants included James Caswell, Sam Gordon, Fiona Lonergan, Alex Bessey, T.J. Stellato, Bennett Cantwell, Owen Powers, Angelina Cosgrove, Cedar Gregoire, Jacob Lawrence, Molly Kracke and Katelyn Luong. The demonstration was conducted by rockets instructor Mike Cronin.

Celebrating the 4th399 viewsMarion's annual fireworks display attracted several thousand people to the town's Silvershell Beach Park on Friday evening July, 3. The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor.
