First Congregational Church of Marion Summer Fair8 viewsThe First Congregational Church of Marion Summer Fair was held on July 27 with an effort to raise funds for the restoration of its clock tower. Main Street was closed to traffic so visitors could enjoy several booths full of goods for sale, along with sports equipment, while visiting the Penny Pinchers’ Exchange, a lobster roll or a burger or dog from the grill. Marion Veterans Day 8 viewsThe Town of Marion held Veterans Day ceremonies at Old Landing, where Marion resident and retired Navy Captain William J. Hollman gave the keynote address. Presiding was the Benjamin D. Cushing VFW Post 2425 Color Guard. The community also heard from Old Rochester Regional High School freshman James Devoll, who read the Governor's Proclamation, along with Town Administrator Geoff Gorman, Select Board Chairman Norm Hills, Reverend Eric W. Osterday, and the Sippican Elementary School band
