Celebrating the 4th450 viewsMarion's annual fireworks display attracted several thousand people to the town's Silvershell Beach Park on Friday evening July, 3. The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor. The Marion Fireworks Committee raised all of the funds for the event through private donations, collected up through the night of the show. Photo by Robert Chiarito.

Antiques Annual450 viewsThe Sippican Historical Society hosted their 17th Annual Marion Antiques Show this past weekend at Tabor Academy’s Fish Athletic Center. The event is the group’s main fundraiser each year, kicking off with a with a gala preview party on Friday, August 14. SLT Oyster Fest 450 viewsThe Sippican Lands Trust’s Beer and Oyster Fest fundraiser was a hit despite the threat of approaching Hurricane Dorian, which was replaced with blue skies just in time, and holding the event earlier in the day mitigated the guests’ exposure to EEE-carrying mosquitos. 4th of July Parade449 viewsThe Sun finally broke through the clouds to help make for a glorious Tri-Town Fourth of July weekend highlighted by Marion's annual Independence Day Parade, hosted by the Benjamin D. Cushing Post 2425 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
