Main Street was closed to traffic so visitors could enjoy several booths full of goods for sale, along with sports equipment, while visiting the Penny Pinchers’ Exchange, a lobster roll or a burger or dog from the grill. Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal Parish 163 viewsOn Sunday, November 17th parishioners at Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal Parish in Marion created over two hundred apple pies at its annual “Great Pie Challenge”. This annual intergenerational event was brought to Marion by Wendy Reardon who is St. Gabriel’s Director of Youth and Family Formation. About 150 pies will be donated to local organizations who will give them away to people in need. The rest of the pies will be sold as a fundraiser which will help raise money for the 2025 Youth Mission Trip heading to N

Despite the blistering hot weather, the rockets were all successfully launched, and the parachutes deployed (most of the time). The students had built their rockets at home before the program with a YouTube video created by the program's presenter, Mike Cronin.

Marion 4th of July Parade162 viewsMarion Town Administrator Jay McGrail and Select Board members Norm Hills, John Waterman, and Randy Parker walked the Independence Day parade route on Monday morning along with veterans, marching bands, Boy and Girl Scout troops, youth baseball teams, decorated floats, fire engines, and a convoy of antique cars. Beginning at the Town House, the parade route went up Spring Street, then east on Route 6 before going right onto Front Street all the way down to Main Street and back up to Spring. Photos by Ryan F

We investigated marshes, bogs, vernal pools, and upland forest habitats and the plants and animals that call these areas home. The museum would like to thank the Marion Harbormaster's office for allowing us access to Bird Island to take a look at some of our more rare and endangered birds and their nesting habitat.
