Marion Village Stroll84 viewsCars lined several Marion streets as residents gathered for the town’s Christmas Stroll on December 12. Front Street and connecting village roads were partially closed for the event, as families enjoyed refreshments provided by area merchants at their doorsteps and along the roads. Clydesdale horses escorted Santa Claus and passengers, while the Sippican Elementary School Band played, Tabor Academy student singer Wesley Lai of Hong Kong sang, and a bike rider juggled bowling pins. Sippican Elementary Car Wash83 viewsSippican Elementary sixth graders turned Saturday's car wash into a fire engine wash, creating a waterfall of suds and having the kind of fun kids normally associate with what happens on the weekends before school is back in session. Organized by Volunteers at Sippican Elementary (VASE), the school's 501(c)(3) non-profit parent-teacher organization, the event held at the Marion school's bus loop off Main Street raised money for the students' mountain classroom trip, a three-day excursion planned for June 20
