5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot255 viewsThere were 31 registered runners for this year’s 5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot for Marion Recreation on Sunday, November 22. The course takes runners from Tabor Academy down Front Street through the village and back again to Tabor. Marion Village 5K255 viewsThe number of participants in this year’s Marion Village 5K might have been down slightly according to race organizers, but the sentiment of fun and competition certainly was not on Saturday, June 25. Taking first place for men was Andrew Sukeforth of Middleboro with a time of 15:43, and Meg Hughes of Rochester won first place in the women’s division with a time of 19:50. Pack 32255 viewsOn Saturday, March 23, 27 Cub Scouts from Pack 32 in Marion advanced in rank. Four of them were fifth graders earning the Arrow of Light Award. This is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn, and it is the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout uniform. We took a close look at barrier beaches, vernal pools, salt marshes, and tide pools.
