Marion Town Party 196 viewsThe town collected hundreds of wood pallets and stacked them sky high in the ball field beside the Town House in anticipation of the annual Marion Town Party on Saturday, August 27. SSV Tabor Boy196 viewsOn Wednesday, October 19, Tabor Academy's Class of 2017 was gracious enough to give Marion Cub Scouts Pack 32 Class of 2028 a tour of the SSV Tabor Boy. This was an amazing opportunity for the boys to learn about this 102-year-old vessel as well as water safety and gain some knowledge about sailing.

Cushing VFW Post 2425, which in return gave a moving farewell as it disbanded this year and donated the VFW building to the town. Annual Turkey Trot 5K 196 viewsThe Annual Turkey Trot 5K wound its way through Marion Village on Sunday, November 17, with 182 trotters (and some ‘turkeys’ as well) braving a chilling wind that morning to make it to the finish line. Organized by the Marion Recreation Department, the event every year draws quite a flock of runners to the start and finish line at Tabor Academy, raising funds for Marion Rec programs and events. The museum lost many of its specimens during our ceiling collapse and these incredibly detailed pieces are greatly appreciated.
