Marion Natural History Museum302 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum had a wonderful time netting seashore animals last week, including various crabs, pipefish, a large killifish, perch, roughly 500 pogies, and loads of shrimp. Marion Natural History Museum302 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum afterschool group had a wonderful time learning about “Amazing Arthropods” with entomologist Blake Dinius of Plymouth County Extension Service. Members of the group were able to handle a couple of beautiful Io moths, which as caterpillars feed on maple leaves. Both musicals will offer a distinct experience for viewers, as Tabor will perform the original 1975 production and ORR will offer an updated post-1996 revival version. Marion Art Center Show301 viewsThe Marion Art Center unveiled its new show in a special opening reception at the gallery on Friday, January 11. The 2013 Winter Members Exhibition features over 60 works by about 30 local artists, some well-known and some new to the local art scene. This is the first of two bi-annual shows that showcase work by members of MAC, from oil paintings to multi-media. Check out some of the great art work being created by Tri-Town artists.
