Although initially slated to take place in the parking lot adjacent to the Marion General Store, the weekend’s rainy weather forced the event indoors. Here teacher Diane Cook directs student Alexei Sudofsky after voting while students Alissya Silva and Ayana Hartley line up behind to cast their own ballots. The Democratic ticket of Obama/Biden won with a majority 56 percent of the vote (239), while the Republican ticket of McCain/Palin garnered only 42 percent (180 votes).
